OUR STORY
Furry Friends Pet Assisted Therapy Services is the South Bay's oldest all-volunteer organization devoted to bringing the healing power of animals to those less fortunate in our community. Furry Friends is a California non-profit organization that relies on the community for support; all donations are tax-deductible.

Furry Friends is a volunteer organization and only exists because people like you volunteer their time to help those who could use that special kind of love that only animals can give. Our volunteers work as teams to bring Furry Friends on visits to people who live in various kinds of facilities. Make a difference to others and yourself by joining a Furry Friends team.

Furry Friends visits facilities throughout San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties of northern California. We visit hospitals, convalescent homes, assisted living facilities, senior centers, Alzheimer units, children’s facilities and shelters. We also provide stress relief one time Special Visits at schools during finals & health fairs. If your organization's needs are in alignment with Furry Friends mission of providing love and affection to those with special needs, please consider applying for a site visit.

Furry Friends is a volunteer organization that has no recurring source of funding other than the yearly dues that members pay - which is not enough to cover all expenses. Furry Friends greatly appreciates all donations as they enable us to continue to enhance and touch the lives of our clients.
